Please note that this light is made only to work fully with the 550 mAh Olight RCR123 only and not the 650 mAh RCR123.  The 550 mAh RCR123 is a specialized IMR battery with positive and negative contacts on one end that allow for both a high current to power the max output as well as the built-in charging.  A regular CR123 or RCR123 will work in the light, but you will not have access to all of the outputs or the built-in charging.  An IMR RCR123 from another brand will work in the light, but you will not have access to the built-in charging.

The Olight S1R baton (S1R) is a side-switch, rechargeable EDC flashlight. Powered by a single specialized RCR123 rechargeable lithium battery (please note that you need this Olight RCR123, not the 650 mAh one), it has a maximum output of 900 lumens and utilizes a Cree XM-L2 LED. Coupled with a TIR optic lens for a high transmission rate, the S1R delivers a very balanced beam. The S1R has six brightness levels and a strobe mode, covering an output range of 0.5 to 900 lumens. The outer appearance of the S1R follows the same style of the BATON Series. It comes with a magnetic charging cable. You can use a desktop micro-dock as an optional charger, making it easier to charge whether at home or outdoors.
